What is it?
The E Series is a “two piece” or close-coupled circulator
Dry end (motor) and wet end (volute) It is field repairable, so will last a very long time, similar to our S & H Series “3 piece” circulators
The only repair part is the mechanical seal; very easy replacement procedure - less than 5 minutes!

Where Does it Fit?

Why Was it Developed?
E Series is our offering to compete against large wet rotors Wet rotors gained popularity for being:
Maintenance free (i.e. H 2 O lubricated, throw away) Quiet Less expensive than 3 piece pumps
Field repairable (in theory) We introduced Astros in the 1990s to handle the smaller applications (I.e. up to large residential systems), but we wanted a pump with greater customer value than wet rotors deliver
Objective: Durability of 3 piece at a price point of a wet rotor, using new motor and mechanical seal technology
Why Was it Developed?
E Series will become known for being:
Maintenance free (permanently lubricated ball bearings) Quiet Less expensive than 3 piece pumps Field repairable (in practice)
And for having:
The exceptional durability of 3 piece circulator The price point of a wet rotor And exceptional performance, especially energy efficiency

Our mechanical seal is about 20% of the cost of a new pump, where competitive after market wet rotor cartridge costs almost as much as a new pump

When needed, the mechanical seal can be easily, quickly, and economically replaced in the field rather than throwing out the old pump There are over 1,000,000 circulators sold in North America each year - where do the old pumps go? Landfills!

Easy Interchangeability Industry Standard Flange-to-Flange Dimensions
Easy to “plug-in” the E Series models as replacements / upgrades for competitive pumps that have failed in service Matched Hydraulics
Impeller and casings have been designed to conveniently match existing commercial (competitive) circulators
As a result, the E Series replacement / upgrade circulators will deliver essentially the same flow rate as the originally installed pump, without needing any system modifications
