– Accessed via web client to central database (Statistik
Austria)
• Address Register
– Authentic information on each address, each
building…
– Permanently updated
– uniform content / format

Definitions ….
• Address:
– Is a locality with a spatial reference
– Is always parcel-referenced
– Is not necessarily building-referenced
• Address of a building
– Additional attributes in order to explicitly identify a
building with an address
– Not every building needs to have a reference to an
address – (e.g. agrarian buildings in open land)
