The state of Massachusetts provides curriculum standards in most subject areas - Movement toward the common core. The state mandates that we teach certain topics at certain grade levels How does FRCS use standards and objectives? The standards are used to create curriculum maps. 8 What is a curriculum map? A curriculum map is a guide for the teacher of that particular course Use state standards to generate essential questions, learning objectives, vocabulary lists and a set of recommended activities. 9 10 WHI.7 Describe the major economic, social, and political developments that took place in medieval Europe D.
