INTRODUCTION
• Dorset Police in Partnership is working to reduce
casualties in line with Government’s 2010
targets based on 1994 – 1998 mean.
• The 1994-1998 mean KSI casualty total was
479. Our target to meet by 2010 is to reduce
this figure by 40%. This gives us a target of 287.
• The 1994-1998 mean Child KSI casualty total
was 48. Our target to meet this by 2010 is to
reduce this figure by 50%. This gives us a target
of 24.
CURRENT
• At the start of DSCP in 2002 there were
550 KSI casualties and 43 child KSI
Casualties.
• Progress – 2006 – 371 KSI Casualties &
25 Child KSI Casualties.
