Provide formal and informal playing opportunities for adults and young people to
participate in hockey: Back 2 Hockey; Rush Hockey; Club Schools Links. With an
emphasis on growth and retention through clubs providing opportunities to keep
players happy

Provide Performance Pathway linked to EH Talent development programme to
systematically produce world class performers: Single System
Increase our visibility
Increase visibility and understanding of the role of NYHDG as a respected and
critical part of the development of the game locally
Enhance our Infrastructure
Improve the playing experience by enhancing facilities, coaching, officiating,
competitions and the support to clubs, volunteers and stakeholders
Be a strong and respected
Governing Body
NYHDG to maintain High Governance standards and become the “go to “ group
locally for Hockey

•Strengthen retention in the Single System for growth
•Increase numbers of young people continuing through to JRPC
Increase visibility and understanding of the role of
NYHDG as a respected and critical part of the
development of the game locally
•Representation from each of the main clubs on the NYHDG – difficult due to
geography but looking at new ways to communicate, or cluster areas
Improve the playing experience by enhancing
facilities, coaching, officiating, competitions and
the support to clubs, volunteers and stakeholders
•3 x clubs to achieve/ retain Clubs First Accreditation
•Identify need for umpiring / volunteering development
•Feed into future PPS
NYHDG to maintain High Governance standards
•Identify key stakeholders in District Plans
•Develop small grants process to be managed by NYHDG
