conduct informal solicitations and requests for quotes for
items under $25,000.

You want to receive notification and respond to informal
state bids and solicitations under $25,000.

What is MyFloridaMarketPlace Sourcing?
The tool used by MyFloridaMarketPlace (State) buyers to conduct
formal solicitations and requests for bids over $25,000. State buyers
create the solicitation and post it electronically. Vendors can view and
then respond to the solicitation using the Ariba Sourcing tool.
Register for formal Solicitations if . . .
You want to receive notification and respond to formal state bids and
solicitations that are $25,000 and greater.
How to register . . .
1. Register for MyFloridaMarketPlace.
2. During registration, select to participate in eQuote.
3. After completing MyFloridaMarketPlace registration—an
email notification will be sent to you confirming eQuote
registration.
4. Once you receive the email notification, log into your eQuote
account. You will create an eQuote username and password,
set up your account preferences, and verify that the
commodity codes for the products and services offered are
correct.
How to register . . .
1. Register for MyFloridaMarketPlace.
2. During registration, select to participate in formal solicitations.
3. After completing registration, there is a 24 hour wait period before the
account is active.
4. To activate the sourcing account, log onto the following site:
https://myfloridamarketplace.com/aribasourcing.
5. To login the first time use your MyFloridaMarketPlace username and
“welcome” as the password.

Electronic Invoicing
Vendor Bid System (VBS)

Optional for all other vendors
What is it?
What is it?
Tool that enables vendors to electronically “flip” a
purchase order into an invoice and send it electronically
to the state.
A state system that provides electronic notification of
formal solicitations. Once registered on VBS, email
notifications are sent to vendors based on the
commodity codes registered for their business.
Register for electronic invoicing if . . .
You want to receive electronic purchase orders and
submit electronic invoices to the state.
How to register . . .
The ability to receive electronic invoices requires
registration on the Ariba Supplier Network (ASN).
1. Basic Registration - Log onto http://supplier.ariba.com
and click on “Register Here” in the middle of the screen.
Follow the on-line instructions. Note that basic
registration requires a DUNS number. You can obtain
a free DUNS number by calling 1-888-814-1435. Tell
the representative that the number will be used to do
business with the government.
2. Configuration - This step allows you to select how you
would like to receive your purchase orders. After
completing basic registration, log into your Ariba
account, and select the link for “Technical Settings”
under “Configuration”.
3. Become a Trading Partner - Call the
MyFloridaMarketPlace Customer Service Desk at 1866-FLA-ePro and tell them that you have registered in
Ariba and want to become a State of Florida Trading
Partner. The Customer Service Desk staff will take
care of the rest.
Register for VBS if . . .
You want to receive notification about formal
solicitations from agencies not yet using
MyFloridaMarketPlace. You must be registered with
the state to sign up for VBS.
How to register . . .
1. Log onto www.myflorida.com
2. Click on the Business link
3. Click on Doing Business with the State.
4. Click on Vendor Business System (VBS).
5. Select the link “Electronic Notification”.
6. Scroll down to “Add E-mail Notification”.
7. Select “S” or “F” (Social Security Number (SSN)
or FEIN), enter SSN or FEIN and your 3-digit
sequence number.
8. Once your record is retrieved, enter contact
information and select “Save Vendor Info” button.
NOTE: If you do not know your sequence number,
the system allows you to search for it by selecting
the link “Search for a vendor to add”.
