SIXTH FORM ENTRY
Any pupils not gaining FIVE GCSE passes at grade C or
above must continue with the necessary number of
GCSE courses until they have achieved FIVE passes.
All pupils must continue with courses in English and
Mathematics until at least GRADE C standard has been
achieved.
ALL GCSE courses are now linear – all examinations are
taken at the end of the course in MAY/JUNE.
GCSE Resit examinations available in November

• You will work in a team of around four students on a

is important to a local company. The company will
supply an engineer mentor to support the team to apply
project management techniques to help find a solution
to the problem.
The project lasts around 6 months and includes the
following special events:
Company visit to see the project in context
Scheme launch – is usually at Sellafield, Cumbria
University Residential Workshop (RWS). is held at
Newcastle University – working with University staff on
developing your project.
Celebration and Assessment Day (CAD) – is held at one
of several Universities.
