GIS OUTREACH/PLANNING
• GIS is CRITICAL to achieving NG9-1-1
• Without good GIS, NG9-1-1 is not possible.
• Please ensure you have identified an effective
maintenance plan and resource for the added
level of effort required!
• 9-1-1 Association’s GIS Committee
• Ongoing discussions with DOT, ITD, Tax Department
• Required Layers for NG9-1-1 have been identified
• Working to establish layer authority and responsibility
• Who is responsible for maintaining each layer?
• Who is responsible for aggregating each layer?
• Who will provision the aggregated GIS data into the NG9-1-1
system?
GIS OUTREACH/PLANNING
• NDACo considering an end-to-end GIS
Maintenance Service if necessary
• Counties/Cities/PSAPs will drive that need
• Please come see me if you have questions!
