Notes:
(1) When air temperature is higher then +32°Cfan speed control device (EWAD-BJYNN/Q units) sets up speed rotation
increasing cooling capacity and sound pressure level.
(2) When air temperature is lower than +10°Cyou need the fan speed control device. It allows the unit working with air
temperature down to – 10°C
. OPLA allows to reach –
18°C
.
(3) Fan speed control device is standard furnished on the EWAD-BJYNN/Q units.

OP12 - Suction line shut off valve – Suction shut-off valve
installed on the suction port of the compressor to facilitate
maintenance operation.
ALARM FROM EXTERNAL DEVICE – Microprocessor is able to receive an alarm
signal from an external device (pump etc…). User can decide if this alarm signal
will stop or not the unit
FLOW SWITCH – Supplied separately to be wired and installed on the evaporator
water piping (by the customer).
COMPRESSOR THERMAL OVER RELAYS – Safety devices against compressor
motor overloading in addition to the normal protection envisaged by the electrical
windings.

positionned under the base of the unit for “floor installation”
ALUCOAT CONDENSING COILS – Fins are protected by a special acrylic paint
with a high resistance to corrosion.
OP10 – Evaporator electric heater – Electric heater controlled by a thermostat to
protect the evaporator from freezing down -28°C ambient temperature
OPEX – Electronic expansion valve – It proposes features that makes it unique:
short openning and closing time, high resolution, positive shut-off function to
eliminate use of additional solenoid valve, highly linear flow capacity,
continous modulation of mass flow without stress in the refrigerant circuit and
corrosion resistance stainless steel body

speed, modifying the air flow according to the external temperature conditions. It
allows the unit working with air temperature down to –5÷–10°C. In addition, a
microprocessor clock switches the fan at low speed according to the client setting
(i.e. Night & Day).

EWAD-BJYNN strength point Vs CARRIER 30GX Phase III
1. Infinitely variable cooling capacity control down to 6.2% of nominal
chiller cooling load (EWAD-BJYNN with 4 compressors) to exactly match plant thermal
load and respect chilled water temperature set-point within ±0,2 K;

2. EWAD-BJYNN Vs CARRIER 30RB AquaSnap
EWAD-BJYNN strength point Vs CARRIER 30RB AquaSnap
1. Infinitely variable cooling capacity control down to 6,2% of nominal
chiller cooling load (EWAD-BJYNN with 4 compressors) to exactly match plant thermal
load and respect chilled water temperature set-point within ±0,2 K;
2. Truly compressor semi-hermetic design to facilitate ordinary chiller
maintenance: hermetic scroll compressors cannot be inspected, maintained and
serviced. In case of motor burnout replacement of all compressors
installed on that refrigerant circuit is needed
3. Much more flexibility on noise version availability to match customers or
site installation requirement; EWAD-BJYNN/Z level not reachable by Carrier.
4. With EWAD-BJYNN/A is possible to reach higher EER value for energy saving
and energy management cost saving;
5. EWAD-BJYNN has really independent refrigerant circuits with one compressor
per circuit: AquaSnap is equipped with even 4 scroll on same circuit!
6. Single screw with R134a reliability Vs scroll technology with R410A in air
cooled application (very high condensing pressure values)
7. Higher part load efficiency for multiscroll? Let’s talk about that…
