Idea behind the seminar
Preparation of a new generation
of transport scientists and science based professionals
in the area of traffic and transportation
Continuing of the tradition of the YRS
(Copenhagen 2001, Lyon 2003, The Hague 2005)
Aims
• Promoting multicultural European tutorials and
supporting the training in an international forum
through written and oral presentation
• Facilitating personal and interdisciplinary contacts
among ECTRI, FEHRL, FERSI
• Encouraging networking between junior researchers
from different environments

• Mr. Janez Potočnik, Commissioner for Science and

the seminar
• Mr. Jacques Barrot, Commissioner for Transport, was
invited to attend

in the Czech Republic (Academy of Science,
