Working Definition
Worship is telling God how
good and great we think He
is. It is complimenting God
for who He is and the works
He has done on our behalf
from hearts that are awed by
Him.
Two Broad Ways We Worship God
We can worship God with
-our lives
-our lips
Worshiping with Our Lips
• Psalm 78:23-24 - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—I, whom you have
redeemed. My tongue will tell of your
righteous acts all day long . . .
• Psalm 63:3-5 says, Because your love is
better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will
praise you as long as I live, and in your name
I will lift up my hands. My soul will be
satisfied as with the richest of foods; with
singing lips my mouth will praise you.
Worshiping with Our Lips
• Psalm 51:15 - O Lord, open my lips, and my
mouth will declare your praise.
• Hebrews 13:15-16 - Through Jesus,
therefore, let us continually offer to God a
sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that
confess his name . . . for with such sacrifices
God is pleased.

Heart of Worship
When the music fades
and all is stripped away
and I simply come.
Longing just to bring
something that's of worth
that will bless Your heart.
Heart of Worship
I'll bring You more than a song,
for a song in itself
is not what You have required.
You search much deeper within,
through the way things appear,
You're looking into my heart.
Heart of Worship
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
and it's all about You,
it's all about You, Jesus.
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
when it's all about You,
it's all about You,
Jesus.
