• CMAP estimates the project would increase the Gross Regional
Product (GRP) by $425 million
• Provide a continuous high speed freight corridor between
Illinois and Indiana

• Improve access to the proposed South Suburban Airport and to

Qualifications (RFQ) for potential P3 concessionaire
teams
• December 4, 2013: IDOT/INDOT will host DBE and
Industry Outreach Event
•December 19, 2013: Deadline to respond to RFQ
•Spring 2014: Publish Final EIS and receive Record of
Decision (ROD) from the FHWA
•Spring 2014: IDOT to release Request for Proposals
(RFP)
•Fall 2014: Award contract and begin negotiations
•Fall 2015-2018: Project construction
