National Hazing Prevention Task Force 1 Words From our National President Dr. Paulette C. Walker 2 1. To assist the sorority in the reduction and ultimate eradication of hazing 2. To heighten awareness about the current laws and sanctions enacted to address hazing offenses 3. To foster greater awareness within Grand Chapter about the consequences of hazing 3 The National Hazing Prevention Task Force has been charged with the responsibility of preparing and recommending a strategic plan of action for 2013 – 2015. 4 Institutionalize a Hazing Prevention Program within the Sorority Produce a professional video featuring the National President Hazing Prevention Message Create Hazing Prevention PSAs in collaboration with the Arts and Letters Commission Develop a Legal Primer that would include a summary of all anti-hazing laws, bills and statutes currently on the books in each of the 50 states 5 Develop a Hazing Prevention Training Module and conduct trainings Build relationships with other organizations and community partners Participate in the National Hazing Prevention Week-September 21st-27th Convene a National Hazing Prevention Summit 6 Co-Chairs: Jaribu Hill, Esq and Denesia Parris Honorary Co-Chair: The Honorable Marcia L.
