Create a sculpture made of foam-board, cardboard, and found objects that uses the
design principles of unity (harmony), balance, and emphasis.
Glue shapes together using hot melt glue, rubber cement, Elmer’s glue, or acrylic
polymer to make your collage or sculpture . The finished product must be freestanding,
an architectural model, a set design, a model display, or a mobile, or a sculpture.
Your subject may be realistic, abstract, or non-objective.
Use acrylic colors, and or a variety of color and interesting textured surfaces to create a
dynamic art work using the principles of design. Colors may be hand painted or
airbrushed to achieve the desired painting effect.
Include a color scheme in your design that is pleasant to the eye incorporating the
design principles of harmony (repeats), variety (differences), balance (equal visual weight),
and emphasis (something that sticks out).
