VISION
Uibasen’s wildlife populations and natural resources are conserved, increased and sustainably managed and utilized for
the economic and cultural benefit of present and future generations.
OBJECTIVES:
1 To separate
conflicting forms
of land-use by
zoning the area

the introduction
of desired species

sustainably when
wildlife
populations are
sufficiently large
Familiarise the community with the
plan through public meetings
Present the zonation plan at the AGM
Display the zonation plan for all to see
Disallow hunting except for special
occasions & only in the JMZ (with partner
conservences’ consent)
Bolster wildlife populations by reintroduction of animals
Protect wildlife by conducting regular
patrols
Monitor wildlife populations
Monitor wildlife populations carefully to
ensure off-takes are sustainable
Allow capture for live sales when
wildlife numbers are sufficient
Conduct live sales with expert support
Base quotas on monitoring information
including population trends & health
Game Guards conduct regular patrols

Report illegal incidents (especially
poaching) to MET
At selected sites, erect sign-posts
stating that off-road driving is illegal &
causes damage
Conduct monthly vehicle patrols to
check off-road driving & other illegal
