Changes in RFID functionality
for IntelaTrac
Uncovering the Black Magic
Slide 12
Current State of IntelaTrac RFID
.STO and .STU formats allow Read/Write capability
Invensys Patented technology to decode information on the RFID tag
Customized for each customer
Low Frequency (LF) - 134 kHz Read/Write
Configurable with up to 1000 bytes of data stored on the LF tags with
.STO and .STU formats
IntelaTrac Functionality
Allows a user to unlock a Task or Task Group for answer in a Procedure
Allows a user to Read and Write data back to the RFID
Slide 13
S
Direction of IntelaTrac RFID
Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID will become the main RFID capability
Read only using the Gen II EPC preformatted tags
Read/Write using .STO and .STU formats
Reasoning:
A large number of customers did not do as much up front planning
when it came to RFID in their system as we originally thought they
would. The tags would be formatted with an Asset name from the
IntelaTrac system and then be placed in the field.
EPC = Asset name
This maintains the IntelaTrac functionality within the application.
