Reproductive Health Programme in
Humanitarian Settings)
 Addressing all stages of the emergency management cycle.
 Improving the health outcomes of crisis affected
populations by reducing preventable SRH morbidity and
mortality.
 Increasing the timely access for crisis affected populations
to life-saving sexual and reproductive health services as
outlined in the Minimum Initial Services Package (MISP).
 Providing services ranging from emergency obstetric care
(EmOnC) for pregnant women, antenatal care, services for
sexual and gender-based violence (GBV), sexually
transmitted diseases (STI), including HIV/AIDs, and family
In our experience……
 September 2013-14 - 100 % health service
delivery points were damaged during Baluchistan
Earthquake.
 May 2014- “After an hour and a half when we
reached the district health centre, there was no
doctor however after I made a scene, a doctor
came and checked and pronounced her dead due to
obstructed labour. I will never forget that night, she
was only 24 years old”- Saifullah, age 35
