today typically consist of the following
features:
•
A display, such as a projector/screen combination
or wall-mounted flat screen.
•
Connections to these displays, which are usually
integrated into the conference room table, can
provide connections for computers or any other
audio/
The main purpose of these rooms is to
provide quick and easy access for any user
to display computer based content for

Level 2 – Upgraded Conference Room
The most typical upgrade to a basic
conference room usually entails adding a
sound system. This sound system can be
used for more advanced presentations and
training sessions or can be used as
additional sound reinforcement for a video
or teleconferencing system.

Conference Room Management and Scheduling
In larger corporations it’s not uncommon to
find anywhere from a half-dozen to a dozen
conferencing and boardrooms available for
employee use. Managing the scheduling and
availability for these rooms can be made
much easier by letting a simple conference
room system handle the task:
Features of the system can include:
•
•
•
•

Media and Screening Rooms
Although uncommon in most corporate
environments, media and screening rooms
provide an excellent means displaying
content rich media to a large audience with
an unmatched experience. Colleges,
Universities and K-12 schools will commonly
utilize screening rooms for student projects,
large scale events, movie nights and other
media related functions. They also tend be
valuable to larger corporations for
company-wide meetings and presentations.

Distributed Video and Digital Signage
www.itscorp.net

Digital signage is one of the largest growing
applications for distributed media in almost any
environment and some of it’s more common uses are:
•
Public information – news, weather and local (location
specific) information, such as fire exits and traveler
information
•
Internal information - corporate messages, health &
safety, news, etc.
•
Menu Information – pricing, photos, ingredients and
other food information including nutritional facts
•
Advertising – either related to the location the signage
is in or just using the audience reach of the screens for
general advertising
•
Brand building – in-store digital signage to promote
the brand and build a brand identity
•
Influencing customer behavior – directing customers
to different areas, increasing the dwell time on the
store premises
•
Enhancing customer experience – applications
include the reduction of perceived wait time in
restaurant waiting areas, bank queues, etc., as well as
recipe demonstrations in food stores
•
Enhancing the environment – with interactive screens
(in the floor for example) or with dynamic wayfinding

Distributed Audio and Paging Systems
•
Distributed Audio and Paging
Commercial Audio and Paging systems are
not only used as a means of inter-office
communications, but can broadcast music,
announcements or other media related
events throughout a facility. These devices
can be tied into automation, door access,
fire alarm and security systems in order to
distribute audible alerts based on events
that occur in the environment.

Soundmasking
•
Sound Masking is the addition of an
unobtrusive airflow-like background sound
to a workspace. Similar to “white noise” this
sound will cover or “mask” conversations in
adjacent spaces. The most common
applications include:
Soundmasking

•
Open cubicle areas — where distracting
conversations affect productivity
•
Private offices, exam rooms & counseling areas —
where confidentiality is required
•
Banks, pharmacies and waiting areas— where
sensitive information is shared
•
Doctors’, Dentists’ and other practitioners’ offices —
where privacy is essential in confined environments
•
Libraries and other quiet spaces — where, because
of the lack of background noise, every sound is
distracting

Surveillance Systems
Almost every business today has some sort of security or
monitoring system in place to help protect their assets. Just a
few of the reasons why camera based surveillance systems
have become such an integral part of a modern security
systems include:
•
Increase overall security and safety – Security cameras
positioned throughout a business help to prevent crimes
and break-ins. Conspicuously placed cameras have
been shown to reduce threats of violence and
vandalism drastically.
•
Improve worker productivity – The presence of
surveillance cameras on the premises can improve
communication between departments or buildings,
allowing for heightened productivity.
•
Remote Monitoring – IP surveillance allows
authorized employees to monitor critical areas
continuously, in real time, from their personal computers
and handheld devices.
•
Easy Integration with Access Control systems –
Surveillance cameras can seamlessly integrate with
access control systems to provide detailed information
on how is coming and going, and when.
•
Theft prevention – Prominently placed security cameras
can help deter potential thieves and identify those who
do steal.
•
Visitor monitoring – One problem many business
continually struggle with is proper access control for
visitors. Security cameras at entrance doors can help
your administrative staff monitor visitors and make sure they
are properly signed in.

•
Complex or simple solutions – from Biometrics to a
keycode entry, there are a variety of solutions that will fit
your needs.
•
Manage access to secure areas - This can be useful in
offices, factories schools, hospitals and other places
where only authorized people should have access to
certain areas.
•
Easy to use software interfaces – Either through webbased or locally installed software, security personnel
can quickly and easily add or remove authorized
personnel from the list.
•
Promotes productivity and accountability – Access
control systems can track where your employees come
and go, making sure individuals are only operating in
areas that they should be and not disturbing staff in
other areas.

Audio and Video Conferencing
ITS is capable of providing a wide variety of
audio and video conferencing solutions that
easily integrate into new or pre-existing
audio visual solutions.
ClearOne audio conferencing solutions are
capable of being the backbone of an
audio visual system. Audio from existing
components can be routed through the
systems mixer and amplified through the
installed speakers.
Additionally, it’s easy to upgrade from an
installed to audio conferencing system to an
installed video conferencing system. Simply
add a camera and video codec to the
system and with a little setup and
programming you will be up and running.
