VALUING PEOPLE NOW
WHAT DOES IT SAY?
Better Health


Overall policy objective:
all people with learning disabilities
get the healthcare and the support
they need to live healthy lives.
Key issues for the NHS are:
 achieving
full inclusion of people with
learning disabilities in its mainstream
work on reducing health inequalities;
and
 ensuring high-quality evidence-based
specialist health services.

framework
Specialist services will help
people with learning disabilities
to access health professionals
from mainstream health services.
