If further processing is required it goes to the "Dip Down Map to get the real addresses (for the ship-to locations) and then goes to the “real” map. The Dip-Down Map has x-ref2 attached.
DIPDOWN MAP
goes into the guts of SAP transaction and performs special conversions such as Freightliner SAP IDOC moves inside ECXpert and hits the HREC1 in "the gate". This H-rec (which is like a map) looks at the IDOC in order to figure out the next step based on a five-parameter file. If further processing is not required it directs the IDOC to the proper map (the "real" map) to extract the Trading Partner Relationship.
From that map it goes out to either GEIS (X12) or SOLMIS (CIF). The H-rec is called HREC1 and has an X ref file (also a map) attached. This file, X-ref1, is maintained through an spreadsheet file with sender codes from SAP.
