Accomplishments - 2014
 Designated an “A” School by the State of Indiana
 Named a National Blue Ribbon School - 2011
 Received 4 Star School Status for the seventh time from the State of Indiana
 Maintained #3 ranking in the State on the ISTEP+ Honor Roll (Total Passing Rate 90% or






higher – we maintained our high level with a slight drop to 96.2% total passing; LA at 98.2%;
Math at 97.1%)
Won State Championship in Spell Bowl (November 2014)
Named First Place Winner – Science Olympiad (February 2014)
Students at the intermediate level were afforded the opportunity to participate in Eisenhower’s
vocal and/or bell choirs. Our choir was chosen to do an unprecedented encore performance at
the NW Indiana Symphony at a Holiday Pops concert at the Star Theater in Merrillville in
December 2013.
Under No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Eisenhower School consistently earned Adequate Yearly
Progress (AYP) for the past twelve years.
Our CPCSC ECD program successfully serviced a record number of preschool students. A
Preschool Advisory Group, including directors of our area preschools, completed its third year
of collaboration in our effort to ensure better transitions to kindergarten for both general
education and exceptional learner students.
IREAD3 passing rate was 100%.

A deliberate focus is currently in place to include all members of
the Ike team in every piece of professional development pertinent
to their position. All teachers, paraprofessionals, interventionists,
PBIS interventionist, and exceptional learners personnel are
included in all communications and invited to attend all
professional development sessions.
