Dr Anwar Samhari Mat Arshad currently is a Consultant Rheumatologist in private practice. He received his basic medical degree from University
of Malaya and subsequently trained in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in HUKM. He completed his Masters in Rheumatology from Manchester
University and received his MRCP from Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom. Dr Anwar Arshad is currently a Fellow of the American
College of Rheumatology, a Fellow of the American College of Physician and Fellow of the Royal College of Physician of London.
Dr Anwar Arshad is actively involved in CPD and research and has authored numerous publications in national/international scientific journal. He is
also a journal scientific reviewer of many reputable international rheumatology journals. He is currently the Northern Region Advisor for Malaysian
Society of Rheumatology. His major interests are treatment of RA, lupus, interventional pain management and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is also
the first rheumatologist in Asia to qualify as Fellow of Interventional Pain Practitioners conferred by the World Institute of Pain and currently serves as
Chair of Malaysian Chapter of the World Institute of Pain. His passion and knowledge in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Interventional Pain
Management has led him to be invited and speak at both National and International events.
