MISSION STATEMENT
To promote the development and practice of
safe, high quality, cost-effective interventional
pain management techniques for the diagnosis
and treatment of pain and related disorders,
and to ensure patient access to these
interventions in the State of Florida.

Sacroplasty Appeal
FSIPP successfully promoted taking Sacroplasty off the non-covered code
list through multiple appeals at the Level of the Administrative Law Judge
and the Medicare Carrier. FSIPP considers Sacroplasty an extension of
Vertebroplasty and given a T code.
RAC audits
FSIPP successfully convinced Medicare that RAC audits of 2008 involving
fluoroscopy for certain pain procedures stretched the interpretation of
Medicare guidelines, leading to a ruling for the RAC from CMS, Medicare
to cease and desist this audit, nationally.
