Rules and Procedures for the
Grade Six Trip to Oslo
• Pack lightly and be able to carry your own bag easily.
• Decide who is going to be your buddy so that we can
walk the streets of Oslo without causing
obstructions.
• Keep the list of emergency telephone numbers in a
safe place.
• Follow safety procedures, such as checking for
evacuation routes in the pension.
• Don’t leave the pensjonatt (hotel). Stay in your room
only. That means you can’t even visit your friends in
the next room.
Rules and Procedures for the
Grade Six Trip to Oslo
• Protect your money and valuables.
• Walk behind one adult leader and in front of the
other adult leader when we move as a group.
• Listen to directions as a group. Ask questions if you
are unclear about directions.
• Think ahead for toilet stops. There is one at every
museum, but not in between.
• Dispose of all litter properly.
• Ask if you are unsure about taking photographs.
• Keep your hands to yourself. People get irritated,
including your friends, in a large group.
Rules and Procedures for the
Grade Six Trip to Oslo
• Use good manners with everyone. Talk softly to the
people around you, not to everyone.
• Be quiet and attentive during lectures. Raise your
hand to ask a question. Listen to the questions and
answers of others.
• Get enough sleep and eat healthy food so we can
enjoy the trip.
• Try speaking Norwegian even if you are only a
beginner.
• Be courteous to everyone. Remember to say
“Please” and “Thank you.”
