• Issues that transcend national borders need a coordinated answer
• Innovative governance model to be defined
• A long term governance (not only for the Forum)

C/ A coherent Atlantic Action Plan
• The Atlantic Arc Commission already has proposals to make :
Maritime transports (project CFA-EFFIPLAT)
Marine Renewables Energies (project APC)
Coastal tourism and leisure (project NEA2)
Fisheries and aquaculture
D/ Strategy connected with available funds
• From the rule of the “three no” to strategic earmarking
• To be included in the Common Strategic Framework
• Pending questions to be answered

Conclusion
• The Atlantic Strategy is crucial to the
development of the Atlantic Marine Economy
• But also to the economic development of the
Atlantic area in a wider sense
• The AAC is the link between the Atlantic
Regions, the Member States and the European
Institutions
• The AAC is ready to participate in the Forum
and to be the spokesman of the Atlantic Regions
