DNA Evidence

Estimating the Murder Time and OJ’s Whereabouts • 9 pm-9:30 pm – Kato Kaelin and Simpson go to McDonald's. • 9:45 pm - Kaelin and Simpson return home. • 9:48 pm - 9:50 pm - Goldman leaves the restaurant with a white envelope containing the glasses. • 10:15 pm - While watching television, Pablo Fenjves, a neighbor of Nicole Brown Simpson, hears the cries and constant barking of a dog. • 10:25 pm - Limousine driver Allan Park arrives at Simpson's home. • 10:40 pm - Kaelin hears three loud thumps on an outside wall of his room. • 10:40-10:50 pm - Park buzzes intercom several times but does not get any response. Sees Bronco at this time.

10:55 pm - Park calls his boss and tells him Simpson is not home. He is told to wait until 11:15 since Simpson is always late.

Estimating the Murder Time and OJ’s Whereabouts • Shortly before 11 pm - Park sees a black person, six feet, 200 pounds, walking across the driveway towards the house. • About 11 pm - Kaelin goes to the front of the house to check on the noise. He sees the limousine driver at the gate. Several seconds later, Park again buzzes the intercom and Simpson answers. He says he had overslept and just gotten out of the shower. • 11:00-11:15 pm - Simpson puts his bags in the limousine and leaves with Allen Park to airport • 11:45 pm – OJ’s flight departs from LAX to Chicago.

12:10 am – Nicole’s dog leads a neighbor to the bodies • 4:30 am – Detectives arrive at Rockingham estate. They see blood on the door of his Bronco and enter estate (emergency circumstances without a warrant)

The Evidence

Aris leather glove

• Aris leather, size XL, the left glove was found at Bundy and the right glove was found at the Simpson residence. The gloves are cashmere lined • Nicole Brown bought a pair of Aris Light XL gloves in 1990 at Bloomingdale's. Simpson wore Aris Light gloves from 1990 to June, 1994.

• O.J. tries on the bloody leather gloves linked to killings, barely squeezing them onto his hands; tells jury, "They don't fit."

“If the Glove Doesn’t Fit, You Must Aquit” Johnny Cochran

Bruno Mali Shoes and the Cap • Hair in cap consistent with OJ’s hair. Cochran argues that it is common for African American males to wear such caps. • Is it common in June in Los Angeles?

The Mistakes

• Evidence of knife purchase was not allowed as the Ross Cutlery owner sold the story to the National Enquirer • Witness Jill Shively spotted OJ in the white Bronco run a red light at about 10:45 PM the evidence wasn’t presented as she sold the story

The Mistakes

•Much evidence wasn’t presented as Prosecutor Clark felt the Jury was growing weary of the validity of LAPD collected evidence.

•Admitted to Rose Grier that he did it.

•Deputy overheard.

Bruno Mali Shoes and the Cap • Approximately 10% of population wears Size 12 • How many wear size 12 $160 leisure shoes • Since the Criminal Trial pictures have surfaced with O.J. sporting a pair of the Malis

The Mistakes

•Nicole’s body was washed without Blood drop evidence being collected from her back. Possibly droplets from her killer.

• While some Blood Evidence may have been tainted (the blood on the gate, the socks and possibly the location of the second glove, right hand at OJ’s estate). Certainly all of it could not be. •This evidence places OJ Simpson bleeding at the Murder Scene and Nicole and Ron’s Blood in his Bronco.
