Transcript EVEN MORE PRESERVED HUMANS




There are thousands of preserved human
remains that have been found around the
world.
You have already had a look at some of the
most famous ones and some of the more well
known bog bodies
Today you are going to take a closer look at
other remains that have been preserved.



Your task is to look at the preserved humans in
this power point and choose one that you
would like to know more about.
Choose one that is different from the person
next to you, so you can eventually share
information about different remains.
The information you gather today will help
you towards your assessment – which you will
get later this week.


Once you have chosen your person, begin your
research.
You will need to find out the following things:
Where are they?
 How were they preserved?
 When did they die?
 How did they die?
 How were they found?
 What were they found with?
 How were they excavated?



The most important thing you need to find out,
and one that you will have to answer in your
own words is:
WHAT DOES THIS PERSON AND THEIR
BELONGINGS, SHOW US ABOUT THE
SOCIETY THAT THEY CAME FROM?
In order for me to guarantee that you are not
just copying and pasting off the internet, please
present your research as answers to the
following questions:
Describe the mummification of your preserved
human remain (5 marks)
Explain the excavation process of your remains (5
marks)
Explain the importance of this find (8 marks)



You really only need to spend one lesson of the
double today doing this research, you will have
more time later to finish off the questions.
For the second lesson of the double, you are
going to be watching a video on The Siberian
Ice Maiden.
While watching this video, you need to be
answering the same questions.

Also known as the Qllakitsoq mummies

When researching on Google, type in Ginger
preserved human to help narrow the search
