Listening Tour

• • Purpose: “To listen and to learn…and figure out together how best to leverage the strength of our campus and broader communities.” –Chancellor Cantor Coordinated with all units – Schools, colleges, academic and instructional units, student leaders and organizations, centers and institutes

Charrette groups

• • • “Our greatest asset is the diversity of perspectives we bring to this work.” – Chancellor Cantor Concept: bring diverse group together over a series of meetings to – Define challenges – Propose means to address them “We’re designing a better university. How can we do that?” –Clem Price

Charrette groups: Specifics

• • • • • Series of three meetings – February 17 to March 7 – one per week for three weeks – held at the same time each week – in accord with class schedules (90 minutes) Common set of readings and guiding questions for all groups Facilitator and scribe for each group Goal is to have mix of students, faculty, staff in each group Sign up through the online site: Doodle poll
