WORK PACKAGE FUNDS
• The EC accepted 240,000 € of total budget • It corresponds to
144,000 €
of EC funds • This money is finalized to pay: • screening activities in 5 countries: • EST and BUL have dedicated funds • INT (Milan) have funds for personnel payment in LIT, ROM, LAT • organization of meetings (1 meeting under INT budget, and 1 meeting under Bulgarian Budget) • WP coordination in the Finnish Cancer Registry • Specific analysis on avoidable deaths in the Institute of Public Health (Brussels)
1ST ACTIVITY: EUROCHIP-2 RESULT DISSEMINATION
• Submission of 5 country-specific papers • Results of EUROCHIP-2 studies in 5 Eastern countries to be circulated via EUROCHIP websites and submitted to the EC Network of Competent Authorities • National reports: A special issue is under production in EUNICE involving all EU member countries;anttila, G.Ronco
EUROCHIP-3 SCREENING ACTIVITIES IN 5 COUNTRIES (LAT, LIT, EST, ROM, BUL)
• MAIN AIM: Use of questionnaires to investigate attendance rates to screening (recommendations of cervical cancer guidelines) • Dissemination of information: according to the European Guidelines for Cervical Cancer Screening guidelines in collaboration with the ECCA • Promotion of screening so that targeted attendance rates are reached among women, and key professional groups, and policy makers are alerted (through campaigning and production and dissemination of information)

• MEETING: Discussion on WP4 protocol activities in each of 5 Eastern European MSs When: Dec 08-Feb 09 • Study protocol design on adherence to cervical screening in 5 Eastern EU MS When: Finish at Sep 09

WORK PACKAGE ON CANCER REHABILITATION INDICATORS

• This money is destinated to identify a list of cancer indicators referring to rehabilitation (physical, social, psychological, nutritional…)
POSSIBLE WORKPLAN – 1st phase Description of tasks
Identification of key-groups (researchers, professionals, patient groups) in different MSs.
health care SC meeting is organised to reach consensus on WP6 work (i.e. organisation of activity by cancer site (breast and colorectal) and by rehabilitative domains).
Identification of different aspects of rehabilitation to be considered. Literature- and web-researches will be performed.
i.e. COCHRANE database and on US activities.
Proposal of initial proposed list of 30-40 possible indicators divided in the domains. EUROCHIP-form to be compiled (in the part on “desired indicator”).
1st DGS-R meeting with key-experts. Discussion on initial list by cancer site. Organisation of the sub-groups by cancer site.
