the reconstruction of Timberlake
• Bid opening for Dam repairs - May 23, 1996
• Construction by Counts & Dobyns began on
June 2, 1996
• Clay core material was found on adjoining property of
Bobby Montgomery
• Hurricane Fran brought heavy rains half-way through
the construction
• Dam completed November 1, 1996
• Refilling of Lake on February 17, 1997
• Easter Sunday 1997, after 40 days and 40 nights
