Ageusia
• A condition where a person has little
to no sense of taste
• Bitterness, sourness, and sweetness
are particularly not tasted
• It is a relatively rare condition
Most common causes
• Damage to the lingual and glossopharyngeal
nerves
• Problems with the endocrine system
• Vitamin deficiency
Congenital Analgesia
• A condition where a person can’t feel
physical pain
• Temperature is not always felt
• Sense of touch is normal
Causes/types
• Mutations in genes
• Hansen’s Disease
• Insensitivity to pain
• Indifference to pain
Life with CA
• Can’t live a normal life
• Can’t feel injuries like broken bones, cuts,
burns(sometimes)
• Have to go through a “check” of their body
