definitely an educational experience at any age.
Please remember to file an Educational Trip

Advice from Dr. Seuss
Think left and think right and think low and think
high.
Oh, the thinks you can think up if you only try.
Happy January! I want to give a HUGE thank you to all
who donated clothing for our loan closet. We are now
stocked well and no longer need clothing. However we
COULD use shoelaces, belts, and socks.
Here is a short tidbit of info for you – you know you should
limit your child’s intake of fruit juice, but do you know why?
Believe it or not, a 12 –ounce glass of apple juice can
contain as much as 10 teaspoons of sugar – the same as
in a can of cola. Encourage your children to eat fruit rather
than drink juice. They will consume less sugar and have
the added benefit of extra fiber to help keep them from
being constipated! ~ Mrs. Keller
Guidance Corner
January…what now? From Halloween through
Christmas everyone spends so much energy getting
through the holidays that once they are over,
everyone is left wondering where did the time go.
January always feels a little blah to me. It’s dark,
cold, and I find myself searching for things to look
forward to like 2-hour delays  (although as a
parent, I know how inconvenient they can be), farm
show milkshakes, and football playoffs (hopefully
Steelers playoff games). It can be easy to fall into
the winter rut. Try to avoid the rut by planning a nice
tropical vacation where you can get plenty of vitamin
D…tempting yes, but for most of us unrealistic.
Instead just try to stay active and have some fun
with family and friends. Remember to smile and
laugh more, it’s amazing what a good laugh can do
to make a person feel better. Have a wonderful
month! –Mrs. McGrady
