The application process
• Nomination mail to partners abt 2 months prior to application
deadline 1 May and 1 October
• Automatic e-mail to students generated when nominated to BI
by Home Institution
• All supporting documents can be attached to the application
form

Housing
• All International students are guaranteed housing through BI
• Separate application form on: www.housing.bi
• Prices from BOK 2200 – 4200 NOK per month
– BSN www.bsn.no
– SiO www.sio.no
Courses in English at BI
• 3 yr BBA program conducted in English
– spesialisation in Finance or Marketing 3rd year
• Elective courses for Bachelor students in English
• Basic language courses in French, German and Spanish
• 2 year Master of Science program in English with a wide
variety of courses
• Online course registration 15 June – 1 July
• Add/drop period first during the week of lectures

• Language
• Bachelor – minimum one academic
year
• Master – grades and specialization
from Bachelor degree

• 21 working days after the exam
• Continuous assesment – in addition to
written exams and term paper
Pick-up
• BI have a pick-up service for all exchange students
– Oslo Central Station to the student dormitory
• Information and pick-up form on web
INSA
• A student organisation looking after the Exchange Students
social activities
• Pick-up, intruduction week
• Organises events and trips:
– One weekend trip within Norway and one to a Scandinavian Capital
– Rafting, skitrips in the winter, sledge riding, ice-skating, movie nights,
International Cooking Dinner nights, bowling etc..
• IRO sponsors 530,- per student each semester
• IRO pay NOK 50,- per student for pick-up

Norwegian Language Course
• Offered every semester
• Classes 2 afternoons a week. Language certificate at the
end, but no credits
• A level two course in the spring semester
• NOK 1500,- for the course + the text book
Working in Norway
• Students are allowed to work up to 20 hours a week
• Information on work possibilities in the Acceptance package
• Type of work they can expect:

– Newspaper delivery
