FOCUS OF PRESENTATION
Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) in
Supply Chain Management (Pengurusan Rantaian
Pembekalan).
Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) in
Business Management (Pengurusan Perniagaan).
B.EngTech (Hons)
Supply Chain Management.
Apa itu Pengurusan Rantaian Bekalan?
Satu
bidang pengurusan perniagaan bersepadu
(comprehensive business management) yang
menggabungkan seluruh rantaian nilai (value chain)
yang bermula dari: Pengurusan
bekalan
Pemprosesan
Pembuatan
Pengesahan kualiti
Pergudangan
Pengagihan/logistik
Perkhidmatan pelanggan
B.EngTech (Hons)
Supply Chain Management.
What is Supply Chain Management (Pengurusan
Rantaian Bekalan)?
A
systematic approach of coordinating and optimizing
the flow of goods & services, resources, information,
and capabilities throughout the entire supply chain ,
starting from procurement of raw materials to delivery
of finished goods to customers/end users

SCM Value Chain
B.EngTech (Hons)
Supply Chain Management.
Why we need SCM?
To manage risks – help companies manage complex risks
involved in a supply chain, everything from cost to health
and safety issues
To manage relationships (networking) – coordinate numerous
relationships in the supply chain and help managers focus on
the most important company-to-company relationships. Ex.
GM and ALCAN
To ensure the optimum operational flow – help managers
address the many trade-offs in the supply chain. Some
trade-offs can be a source of conflict within a company. As
such, SCM helps manage the competing interests of various
functional areas within a company. Ex. IBM and FEDEX
B.EngTech (Hons)
Supply Chain Management.
Benefit of SCM
Increased sales via accelerated delivery time
Operational efficiency via reduced wastage and shorter
lead time
Cost savings via inventory reductions
Improved quality
Improved customer service

Halal Hub
Manufacturing
Logistics
Retails
Petrochemicals
Warehousing

B.EngTech in Business Management (EBM) in UniKL
IPROM?
The
difference are basically in terms of subjects
offered and focus.
EBM has got technical/engineering subjects such as

EBM is more focus towards managing engineering
related business while SCM focuses towards managing
the entire value chain of logistic and supply chain
operation.
