• 1907 founded by James E. Casey in Seattle,
Washington
• 1930 expanded to east coast
• 1977 UPS starts providing air service becoming
the first package delivery system to serve every
address in the United States
• 1985 Starts international air services
• 1992 Begins electronic ground tracking,
delivering to over 200 countries
• 1993 establishes logistics to provide supply
chain management solutions
• 1999 IPO on New York Stock Exchange
• Current CEO is Scott Davis since 2008

Future Predictions

century. With the potential for greater expansion and a
high profit outlook as the economy recovers, I believe
UPS has a successful future in store.
