students and staff to access both files and software

• Microsoft IT Academy
– New elective course starting in the fall of 2014
– Allows students to work on a roadmap towards industryrecognized technology certifications (e.g. MTA, MCSA, MOS)
– Over 400 online, self-paced courses available through the
program

• Internet Driver’s License
– This course is used as a gateway to
students’ PHS Library Orientation and is
monitored by librarians, Mrs. Will and Mrs.
Dickerson. The course begins in Info. Tech.
classes during the end of 8th grade and
continues until they meet with high school
librarians.
– Course is created in an Open-Source
Learning Platform called Moodle

to offer this course taught by Brian Ding at
the high school
– Students developed the Parkland app for
iOS
– Now developing apps for both Android and
iOS devices

• Trojan Tech Team at HS is a for-credit class
