How to Order Allowances

Ordering Allowances
To order allowances click on the link ‘Order
Allowances’.
Please note: You will only
be able to see the ‘Order
Allowances’ button when
an ‘Allowances sale
window’ is open.
Ordering Allowances
For 2012/2013, only ‘Buy to Comply’
allowances are available. Select the link to
continue.

Please ensure you have read the Administrative Rules
before ticking the declaration and clicking ‘Next’.
Ordering Allowances
This shows when the allowances are valid for.
Allowances can be carried over to future years of the
same phase but cannot be carried over from one
phase to another.
Select ‘Order’ to continue to place
your allowances order.
Ordering Allowances
Enter the number of allowances you require here. e.g. 100
One allowance is equal to one tonne of CO2.
By 31 July the total number of allowances ordered must be sufficient to
enable you to meet your surrender obligations.
You are allowed to place as many separate orders as you like during the
sale window.

This screen outlines your order. The unit price (cost per allowance), quantity and the total cost.
If you wish to amend the order, select ‘Previous’. To confirm the order tick the declaration and
click ‘Next’.
Please note: Once you go beyond this point your order will be officially submitted and cannot
be retracted. If your order was incorrect please submit a new order for the correct amount of
allowances.
Ordering Allowances
You should pay by BACS if you have means to do so. BACS is our preferred method of
payment because we get notice of when a payment is made, which helps us to reconcile your
payment.

We will email you and all other enrolled contacts a Memorandum of
Account (instead of an Invoice) that will provide further payment
details.
Ordering Allowances
Once the transaction is complete you will receive an
Order Reference for your records.
Important information
Please pay the Amount Due so that cleared
funds reach us between 2 September and
20 September 2013. Do not pay earlier
than 2 September 2013.
To comply with the CRC Order you need to
surrender sufficient allowances to cover your
CRC emissions for 2012/2013 by Thursday
31 October 2013.
