1 port eSATA standard with all rack mount accept the R943, where 2x2port eSATA is standard build
What is the correct slot assignment?
• The Recovery-612 does not support any additional adapters
• All Recovery-612’s are configured in Manufacturing to have a single eSATA port
• For Archiving, Customer’s may opt to connect to the single bay docking station
Orderable as ESATAEHD
• If Customer orders a Recovery-Archive (RXDA) with the R612, only 1 of the 4 available
drive bays will be accessible
What is the correct slot assignment?
• The Recovery-712 is configured in Manufacturing to have a single eSATA port.
• For Archiving, Customer’s may opt to connect to the single bay docking station
Orderable as ESATAEHD
• If Customer wishes to access more than 1 drive bay, the factory default (single port
eSATA card) is replaced with the 4 port eSATA. (ADA-4ESATA) must be ordered and
if the customer does not already have a Recovery-Archive, (RXDA) must be ordered.
• See Slide 4 for other adapter configuration rules

• The Recovery-722/822/823 is configured in Manufacturing to have a single eSATA port.
• For Archiving, Customer’s may opt to connect to the single bay docking station
Orderable as ESATAEHD, however for these 2U sized appliances, a 4 port eSATA solution is
recommended. If desired, a 4 port eSATA solution (ADA-2x2ESATA) and
Recovery-Archive(RXDA) must be ordered.
• See Slide 4 for other adapter configuration rules

• See Slide 4 for other adapter configuration rules
Optional Features Versus Kits
• Unitrends will configure & test your optional
feature(s) at the time of your appliance order.
– All adapter features are designated by ADA-XXXX
• Unitrends provides for the addition of
optional features post appliance deployment.
These are referred to a “KITS”
– All adapter kits are designated by ADAK-XXXX
How will you ensure a customer does not order a KIT which
violates the configuration rules?
