LIRAP
Passed by the 80th Texas Legislature
Increases qualifying income levels to 300% of poverty level – a
family of four may bring home (net) up to $61,950 and still
qualify
Modifies retirement incentive to the following:
$3,000 for a car that is 3 years old or newer
$3,000 for a truck that is 2 years old or newer
$3,500 for a hybrid that is 1 year old or newer
Limits total cost of replacement vehicle not to exceed $25,000
Allows for the retirement/replacement of vehicles at least 10 years
old (does not have to fail an emissions test to qualify)
Limits administrative cost to 10% of the funds provided
Requires funds be electronically transferred within 5 business days
