UNFCCC (1992)

A global legal instrument on the control and
management of greenhouse gases (GHGs)
not controlled by the Montreal Protocol
Adopted in 1992; entered into force in 1994
Aim: stabilization of GHG emissions at a
level that would prevent dangerous
anthropogenic interference with the climate
system
