 High school diploma or a GED  One year library experience, paid or unpaid  Cost $350 ($325 if ALA member)  4 years to finish 5

 Complete 6 of 10 competency sets  3 required, 3 elective  Can complete approved courses or portfolios in any combination  Fee for courses; no fee for portfolios 6

LTA Agreement Program

1. LTA graduates receive the LSSC w/o more course work or submitting portfolios.

2. Colleges must cover at least two “required” and three “electives” 3. If partial agreement: complete portfolio or a college course, as specified in the agreement or a LSSC approved course 4. Pay enrollment fee 10
