Exide Technologies is the world’s largest independent producer of lead acid batteries.
The company provides power for autos, trains, boats, lift trucks, golf cars, farm vehicles
and space craft. Military uses include naval vessels, aircraft, tanks, missiles and
submarines. Exide also makes batteries that supply standby power to industries such
as utility and telephone companies.

 European initiative to reduce the number of legacy ERP systems from 5 to 1.
• Reduce TCO
• Establish “Best Practice” Standards
• Support future business process changes
• Stretch the life of existing assets and delay cost of implementing a new ERP
application.
• Project TRIO
 Reduce the cost of supporting the technical infrastructure
 Invest savings to fund needed infrastructure upgrades to improve
performance and reduce risks.
 Streamline and align technical support to react quicker to business requests
• Global Network
 Implement a global MPLS network replacing hub-and-spoke (frame) and
point to point communication links.
