Challenge Negative Thoughts
Is there any evidence that contradicts this thought?
“I see many people using the eCompanion and it has never killed them.”
“Most faculty say it actually decreases their work load.”
Could you do anything to resolve this situation if it does
occur?
“I guess I could use the telephone to call for assistance or I could turn the
computer off if I think eCompanion is going to kill me.”
Are you making a thinking error?
“Yes. I’m fortune telling, as I have no evidence to suggest that eCompanion will
kill me.”
“ Administration of a course all in one location is actually easier than the
alternatives.”
What would you say to a friend who has this fear?
“You’ll reduce the waste of time and resources.”
“I would probably say that the chances of eCompanion killing you are very slim
as you don’t see or hear about it very often.”
