F2 Help Opens in Different Folder
•

Currently, the F2 Help Manual must be copied down to the local PC due to
a Microsoft© security requirement.
The system used to always copy it down to the Windows folder, but if a
user did not have rights to that folder to edit/create files, F2 Help would not
work or might not update to the latest version.
The system will now use the user’s Temp folder to copy the latest version
of Help and display it if they do not have write access to the Windows
folder.
Laptop “Export Tables” No Longer Erases Drive
•
TriTech previously supported multiple disks or drives for exporting table
files (for small flash/USB thumb drives and floppy disks). In order to
support using more than one disk or removable drive, that drive’s contents
had to be erased.

We will no longer support this process since large USB or flash drives are
commonplace. By not supporting multiple disks, you will now be able to
use a drive for more than one thing, without having to worry about the
contents being deleted.

This is also true for the Import / Export table functions in Dbutil that are
used by departments coming into TriTech for training.
Narrative “Edited By” Change
•
TriTech recommends you review cases from the print option. That way,
your ID will not be flagged as opening a case for editing. We realize that
some people review narratives in edit mode. If they accidently hit Save
instead of Escape, their ID was marked as modifying the narrative when
they did not do anything to it. To avoid this, we have a safety catch to stop
from saving if you do not wish to. This only happens when nothing has
changed within the narrative.

when all issues are fixed.

STATE SPECIFIC
Connecticut & Montana Race Data

Race Data collection is now enabled for these states via RMS - Department
File Maintenance, where you can also turn on Passenger Data collection and
fill in your Registry ID to backfill during race data entry.
