Module Enhancements • History of electricity • Safety and electricity • Do an electricity Webquest • Co-teach with science teacher • Learn about series and parallel circuits

Module Enhancements Engineering Design • Students create a generator • During the design projects students would have to pick which types of generators (look at pros/cons/costs)

Module Enhancements Scientific Inquiry • Students question and investigate pros and cons of different power sources • Expand on electricity in general and types of electricity

Module Enhancements Ethics • Teamwork • Different types of generators and affects on our environment • Conservation of Energy – Survey

Modification for grades K-4 • KWL Chart • Word Wall Vocabulary: volt, electricity, line load • Instead of equations use inequalities • Modify truck activity so students will portray trucks and hubs, then transfer the concept to any form of electricity • Safety in using electricity • Design safety posters

Modifications for grades 5-8 • Discuss the 3 Bus system without using equations (Model higher level math) • Study the history of electricity • Study safety in using electricity
