ALLÁHU AKBAR • Allah is the greatest. NOTE: Red Colour is instructions, Green Colour is English pronunciation and Blue Colour is translation of the recitation. Stand facing to Ka’abaa and look at the ground in front of you at the distance of about two feet from your toes. For women: Without hands being exposed, women should raise their hands to the height of their shoulders when saying Takbeer, then place arms on the chest. Recitation: Qiyaam Sob-haanak Alla-humma wa bihamdika. Wa tabaarakasmoka wa ta’alaa jadduka. Wa laa ilaahaa ghairuka. O Allah, Glorified, praise-worthy. and blessed is Thy Name and exalted Thy Majesty. and there is no deity worthy of worship except thee. A’oozu billahi minash-shaitaanir-rajeem. Bismillaahir-rahmaanir-raheem I seek refuge in Allah for the rejected Satan. In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Keep right hand on the left hand After this recite the opening Surah, Al-Fátihah: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Beneficent, the Merciful Master of the Day of Judgment Thee alone we worship and to thee alone we turn for help. Guide us in the straight path. The path of those whom You favored and who did not deserve Thy anger. Or went astray. (AMEN) Bismillaahir-rahmaanir-raheem. Alhamdu lil-laahi rabbil’aalameen. Ar- rahmaanir-raheem. Maaliki yaumid-deen. Iyyaaka na’budu, wa iyyaakanasta’een. Ihdinas-siraatal- mustaqeem. Siraatal-lazeena an’amta ‘alaihim, ghairil maghdoobi ‘alaihim waladdhaaal-leen. Allah the self-sufficient Master (whom all creatures need and he neither eat or drink) Qul huwal-laahu Ahad. Allahus-samad. Lam yalid, wa lam yoolad, wa lam yakun lahoo kufuwan ahad. He begets not, nor was he begotten. And there is none co-equal or comparable to Him. Instead of QUL HUWAL-LA…., any three ayaat from the Quran can be recited • Instructions: Bend down at waist, placing palms of hands with fingers spread over knees. Eyes looking down, directly ahead. • [For men]: Back is parallel to ground, such that if a glass of water were on the back, it would not spill. • Recitation: As bending at the waist, recite Ruku » » – ALLÁHU AKBAR Allah is the greatest. Then whilst remaining in the position as shown in the figure in the left side, recite Sob-haana Rab-beeyal Azeem ( 3 times) Glory to my Lord the great. • Qaumah Instructions: While rising from the bending position of ‘Ruku’, recite SAMI 'ALLAÁHU LIMAN HAMIDAH Allah has heard all who praise Him. RAB-BANÁA LAKAL HAMD Our Lord: Praise be to you. and move to the next position (sajdah) by reciting... ALLÁHU AKBAR Allah is the greatest. Keep both hands straight Sajdaah SAJDAAH-1 FIRST RAKAAT SOB-HAÁNA RÁB-BI-YAL A'ALAA (Recite 3 times) Glory to my Lord, the most high. • • Instructions: Go down to a kneeling position by placing both hands on knees, lowering oneself slowly and easily onto knees, then touch the head upon the ground so that the following body parts are in contact: forehead, nose, two palms, two knees, toes of both feet. Jalsa • Instructions: rise from the SAJDAAH position, whilst coming to the sitting posture as shown in the picture in left side, RECITE ALLÁHU AKBAR Allah is the greatest. • Recitation: Be in sitting position for about five seconds, then whilst going to next position ( 2nd SAJDAAH) once more ……recite • ALLÁHU AKBAR Allah is the greatest. Whilst getting up to sitting position, recite TASHAHHUD Qaidah 2nd Rakaat At-tahiyyaatu lil-laahi wassala-waatu wat- tayyibaatu assalamu ‘alaika ayyu-hannabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barkaatuhu Assalamo ‘alainaa wa ‘alaa ‘ibaadillahis-saaliheen. Ash-hadu al La ilaha illal Lahu wa Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhoo wa rasooluh. All prayers and worship through words, action and sanctity are for Allah only. Peace be on you, O Prophet. And Mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be on us and on those who are righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness to the fact that these is no deity but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger. Allahumma salli’alaa Muhammadin wa ‘alaa aali Muhammadin kamaa sallaita ‘alaa Ibrahima wa ‘alaa aali Ibrahima innaka hamidum majeed. DARUD Allahumma baarik ‘alaa Muhammadin wa ‘alaa aali Muhammadin kamaa baarakta ‘alaa Ibrahima wa ‘alaa aali Ibrahima innaka hamidum majeed. O’Allah, shower your greeting onto Mohammed (pbuh) and onto his Descendants as you showered your greeting onto Abraham and onto his descendants, of course, you are the praise-worthy, the Glorious. Instruction s: If the required number of Rakats is two, the Salat would proceed to the next posture. O’Allah, shower your blessing onto Mohammed (pbuh) and onto his descendants as you showered your blessing onto Abraham and onto his descendants, of course, you are the praise-worthy, the Glorious. Rabbanaghfirlee wale waali-dayya wa lilmu’mineena yauma yaqumul hisaab O’our Lord forgive me and my parents and believers at the day of account (day of judgment) DUAA ربنا اغفرلى ولوالدى و للمؤمينين يوم يقوم الحساب You can recite any other Duaa In the three raka'át (i.e. Maghrib) or four raka'át (Like Zuhr, 'Asr and 'Ishá) Saláh, you stand up for the remaining raka'át after Tashahhud. On the other hand if it is two raka'át (Fajr) Saláh, keep sitting and after this recite Darud (blessing for the Prophet) in these words: then Duaa and thereafter, go to next position (Salaam) • Instructions: Now turn your face to the right saying: AS-SALÁMU 'ALAIKUM WA-RAHMATUL-LAÁH • Peace be on you and Allah's blessings. • Instructions: then turn your face to the left saying: AS-SALÁMU 'ALAIKUM WA-RAHMATUL-LAÁH • Peace be on you and Allah's blessings
