Let’s Talk about St. Cath’s
St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center is
located on 110 acres on the north shore
of Long Island in Smithtown, New York.
Our campus consists of a 311 bed
hospital, 240 bed skilled nursing home,
a medical office building and Siena
Village, a 298 unit apartment complex
for seniors and the disabled.
Let’s Talk about You…
The Medical Center is looking to recruit high school
volunteers, in hopes of developing an Apprenticeship
Program for the benefit of both local high school students
and St. Catherine’s.
This program strongly emphasizes dedication,
responsibility, mutual respect, quality, and the mission of
St. Catherine of Siena and Catholic Health Services.
Students must be at least 16 years old to participate and
be able to commit a minimum of 3 hours a week for a
minimum time frame of 3 months.
Let’s Talk about Us…
St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center’s goals
are:
to encourage students to develop an interest in
healthcare and provide them with an appreciation for
the challenges as well as joys of healthcare.
Help students mature in a professional environment,
communicate with others, and to reach out to those
in need.
We believe it is crucial for health care facilities to be
reaching out to the community and especially our
youth to encourage an understanding and
appreciation of issues regarding healthcare.
This program will not only benefit students, but will
also help improve patient and staff satisfaction at the
Medical Center.
