Introduction
• You live in Poland. You know a lot of Polish monuments. In England there are also a lot of beautiful monuments. It is worthy to find information about them and learn interesting things about them. It will be great fun.
Task • Your task is to search for interesting photos of English monuments, find and write information about them. You will have to present your work making presentation in PowerPoint.
Process
• • • • • • • • • You will work in groups. Each group has to do the following: Group 1 RESEARCHERS Search on the Internet for information about 10 famous monuments of England. The information must include the name of the monuments, the date of building, the location, the function, the history and the legends related to the monuments and their value – maximum half of the sheet of paper), then copy the information into Word.
Group 2 WRITERS Find 5 photos for each of 10 monuments. The photos should be the same size, they should be colourful and present each monument from different sides. Group 3 TRANSLATORS Translate the Polish text written by group 1 into English. Give the text to the researchers. Group 4 DESIGNERS Prepare a presentation with photos and two versions of the text (Polish and English). Make it as attractive as possible.
