• Government White Paper on 14-19 Education and Skills • Specialised Diplomas will be available at 3 levels across 14 lines of learning • First teaching from September 2008 for phase 1, September 2009 for

phase 2

Specialised Diplomas

• Will be employer led through the Sector Skills Councils • Attract young people into the sector, widening participation • Provide progression into either employment or further / higher education • Meet the skill and knowledge required for employment • Provide sector relevant learning in real or realistic environments The Sector Skills Council for the Environmental and Land-based Sector
