Plagiarism
 The School considers plagiarism as an
unacceptable practice. Serious action will be
taken against any student who is found to have
taken material substantially from a source
without giving it due acknowledgement.
 We would like to inculcate the culture where
students can be proud of their own work

To avoid plagiarism
 Always cite the reference(s) of
the text you have summarised
 programs, diagrams or figures taken from books,
papers, website etc.
 Summarise the text rather than copy
verbatim or just alter the text very slightly.
 Sparing use of original (i.e. verbatim) quotes
from a text must be shown in inverted
commas. This is used merely to emphasise a
point
